Exam board: AQA

Qualification: GCSE in Mathematics

Without mathematics, there’s nothing you can do. Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you is numbers.” Shakuntala Devi

Maths in KS3 is all about problem solving. Not only will you learn how to solve mathematical equations, but improve your problem-solving skills in all other areas. Mathematics has its place in many industries and subjects. From everyday tasks such as counting and shopping, to more detailed mathematical problems such as interpreting data, we use maths everywhere.

A mathematics GCSE helps you gain a fundamental knowledge of the subject so you can contribute to the future advancements of many industries. At Christchurch Learning Centre, we strive to ensure that these transferable skills can be utilised in the student’s next stage of their career, whether it is to aid a return to mainstream or applying for a place in college.
